PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Coordinator II
Coordinates logistics, services, and support surrounding significant/diverse program offering. Includes coordinating support functions of direct public student contact programs and areas to ensure smooth daily operations

Coordinator II, Concurrent Credit
Position is responsible for the implementation, operation, success of college concurrent credit programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate the concurrent credit classes to ensure students qualify for classes, scores are posted, money is collected, forms are all submitted correctly, and any other support service function is handled correctly.

  2. Provide on-going training for the concurrent enrollment contact people at the various ISDs in how to best serve their students in the concurrent enrollment program.

  3. Coordinate the college’s recruitment/outreach program to include work with the area ISDs, private schools, and home schools.

  4. Conduct tours, and expose prospective students to the campus.

  5. Prepare the TASP error report each semester.

  6. Serve as a key member of the ongoing Enrollment Management Planning Committee with particular emphasis on the recruiting portion of the report.

  7. Assist the Director of Enrollment Management with state report preparation.

  8. Plan and present seminars to students and the community.

  9. Serve as TASP resource person for the Student Services division insuring that all staff are kept abreast of the regulations. Also, assist students who have TASP related enrollment problems.

  10. Organize and oversee the annual college fair on campus.

  11. Serve as the university course articulation resource person for the Student Services division insuring that all staff are kept abreast of changes, developments, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree required. Three-Five years related work experience. Proficiency in use of personal computer workstation with standard software applications. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required to interact with subordinates and direct/coach work efforts. Ability to organize functions to ensure compliance with due dates/deadlines and regulatory requirements. Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills. Ability to transfer knowledge to subordinates and higher authorities.

EQUIPMENT USED:

PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, fax and other general office equipment.

CONTACTS:

Internal: College/District, students, faculty and staff as necessary to provide or obtain information to carry out the functions of the position.

External: Contact with independent vendors for service/order supplies etc.

COMPLEXITY/EFFORT:

This position requires attention to details and basic knowledge of the general office use of computers and software applications. Requires a working knowledge of general office procedures and practices.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment not readily accessible to the general public. Job duties require little physical effort. Requires work characteristics supportive of collaborative work efforts in a collegial atmosphere.
