How to Establish a New Organization

The process for starting a new student organization is very easy.  Working with the Office of Student Activities, you need to complete the Registration Packet, submit a proposed constitution and Student Fee Funding Statement of Expectation for your organization, have at least five students interested in starting up the group, and have a full-time faculty or staff sponsor/advisor. These documents can be found by clicking the links below or on the Student Activities Documents page.

Once these things are turned in to the Office of Student Activities, your registration packet will be reviewed and forwarded to the Dean of Student Services, who approves new student organizations.  Upon receiving the approval of the Dean, you are formally registered and are then entitled to all of the benefits of an RSO (Registered Student Organization) at Lone Star College–Montgomery.
