Whatever your reason for needing to update your job skills, Lone Star College - Montgomery and Lone Star College - Conroe offer continuing education programs in the career areas where you can really find a well paying job.
After consulting our local employers we have determined the skills sets they are looking for when hiring new employees. And we grouped these skill sets into the right courses to make you marketable.
We offer career programs in 18 different areas and our local Work Source centers may be able to fund your training and supplies if the program is in an area identified in the Texas "high demand occupations" list, and the Financial Aid office at the college may be able to help fund the program as well.
After completing the set of courses you will be awarded the Lone Star College Workforce Skills Award and you may be eligible to sit for the state or national exam that coincides with that program.
